Tonight we had our final rehearsal before the big CD release tomorrow. I’m not as anxious as I was last week for our first official gig at ZirZamin. An hour long set had to be padded out with some new material as our E.P. is under a half hour. Two songs in particular stood out the most – “Home (Turn off the lights)” which I posted before and “Free From Harm”. We’ve already discussed the next record and these two will make the cut methinks. I posted below the lyrics for “Free From Harm”, hopefully tomorrow we’ll get a chance to play it.

Free From Harm – Supersmall June 2013

Lie down, step one and two
Lights out, see the outside glow
A cool room, makes for sweet dreams here
And if they come, you’ll never see me again.

Leave it all where you can
Try to find a space where
I can lay my poor head
Free from harm.

Days end, circles like the moon
Just one face, and it pierces right through you
I need sleep, but it never comes
And if it does, you’ll never see me again.

Leave it all where you can
Try to find a space where
I can lay my poor head
Free from harm.

From the dusk to the dawn
A moment in time where we belong, to anyone
Between the light and the noise, and beyond
A place to repair, a place to upright and start again.

Leave it all where you can
Try to find a space where
I can lay my poor head
Free from harm.
Leave it all where you can
Try to find a space where
I can lay my poor head
Free from harm.
